The purpose of the Workshop is to keep the scientific community working on nonlinear phenomena on lasers and optics, updated with the
most recent developments and tendencies in the area. We hope that the Workshop will provide the opportunity to interchange ideas in a
relaxed environment, contributing in this form to the possible nucleation of new inter-institutional collaborating groups and encouraging the
development of scientific collaborations at an international level. Emphasis will be put in the participation of Latin-America scientists.

The Workshop will take place in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. Located in the north bank of the Rio de la Plata estuary, downriver
from Buenos Aires, upriver from Montevideo, Colonia del Sacramento is a small charming city founded in 1680 and declared
World Heritage City by UNESCO (for more information about Colonia please visit http://ovpm.org/p6-16.htm).
