Figure 3. (A) Circular polarization ratio (RCP/LCP) as a function of beta  for orbit 234 for a 2.5° radius latitude band centered on the lunar south pole and for orbit 235, for a 2.5° radius periodically illuminated band centered at 82.5°S, and for orbits 301 and 302, originating from a 2.5° radius band centered at the north pole. The area sampled is approximately 45,000 km2 (orbits 234, 301, and 302) to 170,000 km2 (orbit 235). (B) Individual polarization channel (RCP and LCP) echo power response used on a frequency bin-by-bin basis to compute the orbit 234 and 235 polarization ratios.
